Wirtshaus im Weinkitz is a boutique country house and restaurant in the vineyards of Kitzeck im Sausal. Owners Manuel and Anna live on site and welcome guests personally. The house presents a small-scale, personal hospitality concept in the South Styrian wine landscape. It was named steirischer Aufsteiger des Jahres 2026 and included in the Guide MICHELIN in 2026. Modern elegance meets idyllic vineyard views in a calm, home-like atmosphere rather than a traditional hotel lobby. Tasteful, stylishly furnished boutique rooms provide wide views and deliberate slowing down, while a contemporary dining space promotes quiet, relaxation and intimate dining. The kitchen’s philosophy centres on regional ingredients and honest cooking, pairing Styrian specialities with selected international dishes and an attentive wine selection from the region and beyond. The restaurant offers multi-course tasting menus, seasonal special menus and occasional themed events with suggested wine pairings. Specialties include regional Styrian specialities and selected international dishes; a creative 5-course menu served Mondays and Fridays; the Winzerdinner (a 5-course menu with wine pairing); the seasonal 4-course "Weide Gans trifft Weide Ente" menu; and Neapolitan pizza nights.
