La Borde Family Ecolodge

Nestled in Puisaye, in the Loiret (Centre-Val de Loire) and just a few meters from the Yonne (Burgundy), La Borde Family Ecolodge is an unusual and committed seminar venue, only 1.5 hours from Paris. Designed as a family home—warm, friendly and intimate—it offers a natural setting of 7 hectares, ideal for taking your teams out of the ordinary, without sacrificing comfort or professionalism.

A semi-private venue, dedicated to your group

Unlike typical business hotels, La Borde Family Ecolodge accommodates only one group at a time (up to 25 people for overnight stays, up to 40 for day use). No other companies, no bustling hotel corridors: your discussions remain confidential, and your informal moments are fully enjoyed. This is a decisive asset for executive committees, small teams and strategic seminars. The venue can be partially or fully privatized for your seminar.

Unique and comfortable accommodations

The site offers up to 24 rooms in unique accommodations: treehouses, cozy yurts, gypsy caravans, safari tents (from mid-May to the end of September), a cottage with a fireplace, and charming guest rooms. Each accommodation has access to its own private bathroom. Meticulously maintained bedding, heating provided in all seasons, and impeccable upkeep guarantee a comfort level equivalent to that of a 3 or 4-star hotel—with the added charm of nature. Most of our accommodations are naturally cool in the summer or equipped with air conditioning. In short, the comfort of a hotel in a 100% unique setting.

Modular and inspiring workspaces

Our 50 m² meeting room and our sub-committee spaces can adapt to your configurations from 12 to 40 people:

• The Barn (45 m², up to 25 people in U configuration)
• The Dairy (30 m², up to 24 people)
• The Yurt (50 m², up to 12 people)
• The Lodge (30 m², up to 12 people)
• The Tent (130 m², up to 50 people, unheated)

All workspaces have WiFi and natural light. We have 2 projectors, 2 flip charts, a video conferencing camera, and the small accessories needed for your meeting: you can come by train and travel light, you will find everything you need for your meeting on-site. And for those who wish to step outside, 7 hectares of nature offer a vast space for work in the great outdoors.

Locally-sourced and homemade dining

The dining experience at La Borde Family Ecolodge is a strong asset. Privatized dining room, flexible service without set meal times, authentic cuisine highlighting local and organic products. From friendly lunches in a "home-style" format to gourmet dinners, including homemade breaks featuring artisan pastries or baked goods, and organic & local juices, every dining moment becomes a moment of cohesion. Friendly options (plancha, raclette, couscous) are also available.

Integrated team-building activities

One of the major strengths of the venue is the wealth of its activity offerings, fully available on-site or at home, with no external providers to coordinate: murder parties, escape games, sustainable development challenges, Olympics, five senses challenges, pasta workshops, Bacchus Casino, Brazilian percussion, casino evenings, 2CV rallies… More than 15 different activities, for all formats and all budgets. The bonfire evening, a true signature of the venue, is itself a memorable moment of cohesion.

A sincere and certified ecological commitment

Since its inception, La Borde has not "greenwashed" its image out of opportunism. Ecological commitment is its DNA: 100% renewable electricity, biomass boiler, phytoremediation of wastewater, zero waste approach, local and organic products, preservation of biodiversity (over 60 species of birds recorded on-site). The initiative has been certified Green Key since 2012, renewed in 2017, 2022 and 2026 — the first environmental label for accommodation in France.

Why "Family" Ecolodge? Is it for families and vacations? Isn't it a serious seminar venue?

The name "Family Ecolodge" can indeed be confusing, but here’s why it does not undermine the venue's seriousness for seminars:

In this context, "Family" refers to the spirit of community and cohesion—exactly what is sought in a business seminar. The idea is that the venue fosters authentic connections between participants, like a close-knit "family".
