A Sicilian chef with a love of family recipes and the stories behind them, she leads hands-on experiences built around sharing rather than watching a demonstration. A class can begin at the local market, where participants choose fresh, seasonal ingredients. Together they then prepare a Sicilian menu of an appetizer, first course and dessert, and sit down to enjoy what they have made. Maria Rita also develops tailored culinary experiences for companies and private groups, including team-building activities, cooking shows and chef’s table events. As a private chef, she cooks at guests’ homes or a location they choose. Her services extend to lunches and dinners, with dishes prepared on site and care given to the table setting.
