Itzuli

Itzuli is a Michelin one-star restaurant perched on the slopes of Mount Igeldo in San Sebastián, Spain. Its name, meaning "to return," reflects a journey rooted in family unity and a return to origins, shaping both the team and the dining concept. The venue offers modern interpretations of Basque traditional cuisine, deeply inspired by local places, people, and stories within Euskadi and Gipuzkoa. Chef Iñigo Lavado, trained under culinary masters such as Luis Irizar, Martín Berasategui, Ferrán Adriá, Pedro Subijana, and Alain Ducasse, leads the kitchen with a focus on emotion, storytelling, and a strong connection to the region’s produce. The menu features specially crafted tasting and à la carte options that articulate an artistic vision of the region's gastronomic heritage, embedding Donostiarra memories and narrative in every dish. Set amidst 9,000 square meters of recently renovated gardens, the restaurant boasts stunning views of the Cantabrian Sea.
