Le Bistro Urbain

Le Bistro Urbain is a modern bistro in the Écusson historic district of Montpellier. It offers a range of composed menus and tasting formats at accessible price points, proposes wine pairings and provides vegetarian versions of its menus. The house is recognised by the Michelin Guide (selected) and is presented alongside Gault & Millau on its website. The kitchen practices contemporary bistro cooking with an emphasis on creative, inventive preparations using fresh, local and seasonal produce; the carte evolves with arrivals and is renewed every two weeks. Cédric Sangenito (Chef) has led the restaurant since its opening in 2015 and brings fourteen years of experience from Maison Lasserre in Paris, Cala Rossa in Porto Vecchio and Le Chapeau Rouge in Dijon. The restaurant works with local producers and suppliers such as Les Jardins de Costebelle, Divin and Fébéo, together with local fisheries and wine merchants, to source vegetables, fruit, meat and wines; specialities include Menu Affaire (31€), Menu Echo (47€), Menu Pandore (57€) and an Assiette de Fromages sélectionnés (10€).
