La Sérafine

La Sérafine occupies an 18th‑century stone house in the hamlet of Les Paroirs near Veynes; the house takes its name from a former resident, Séraphine. It has operated as a restaurant since 1991 and has been in the care of Nga and Anna since 2012, who have revitalised the building and blended its historic fabric with modern renovations. The establishment is noted by Michelin as a Selected establishment and retains a vaulted stone wine cellar and a cigar cellar, adding character to the venue. Dining rooms combine old‑world detail and contemporary touches to create a convivial, intimate and relaxed atmosphere. In the kitchen, the discreet Nga leads a team producing contemporary, refined and inventive cuisine that balances tradition and innovation, with fine touches of spices reflecting her roots. The restaurant follows an entirely 'fait Maison' approach: dishes are prepared on site from predominantly fresh products, and two menus change regularly with the seasons. Anna curates an extensive wine list of roughly 150 references, travelling to meet small producers and favouring growers who work with reasoned, organic or biodynamic practices.
