Le Clocher des Pères

Le Clocher des Pères is a small, Michelin-starred restaurant and guesthouse perched on a promontory at 600 m altitude in Saint-Martin-sur-la-Chambre. The establishment combines the chef's passion for both cooking and the mountains to offer creative, modern cuisine that blends authenticity and contemporary technique and draws on dishes "from here and elsewhere." The kitchen was awarded one Michelin star in 2016 in recognition of its finesse and quality. Service is focused on tasting-menu formats, and practical policies require online reservations with a card imprint to validate the booking, advance declaration of allergies, and note that the cuisine cannot be adapted to be lactose-free. The venue occupies a fully renovated 15th-century former fortified house with sweeping views of the Belledonne range. The dining room is intimate and rustic-elegant, seating around fifteen covers on the ground floor, with three guest rooms on the floor above that foster a close relationship between kitchen, house and guests.
