Osteria de Börg is a traditional Romagna restaurant situated in Rimini’s historic Borgo San Giuliano district. It focuses on handmade fresh pasta and local ingredients, featuring Slow Food presidium meats and products sourced from regional farms. The menu includes classic dishes such as cappelletti served in brodo di gallina and various cuts of Mora Romagnola, prized for its distinctive wild and spiced flavor. Co-owners Mirko Monari, Giuliano Canzian, and Enrica Mancini have maintained the restaurant since 2007, emphasizing Romagna’s culinary heritage and partnerships with passionate local producers. Their wine list highlights selections primarily from the hills around Rimini, complementing the authentic regional cuisine. The atmosphere combines an informal and welcoming vibe with colorful decor inspired by the Italian economic boom, wooden furnishings, artisan lamps crafted from repurposed cookware, and an open kitchen featuring a large wood-fired oven. Seating includes several warm indoor rooms and outdoor tables in a charming town square. Chef Mirko Monari leads the kitchen, delivering traditional Romagna dishes with genuine flavors and careful attention to detail, from starters to desserts, with specialties including handmade pasta, grilled and braised local meats, homemade piadina and cassoni, and Slow Food-certified salumi. The Osteria holds the Bib Gourmand distinction from the Michelin Guide.
