Restaurant Marcon

Les Maisons Marcon is the family group that houses the gastronomic restaurant of Régis and Jacques Marcon amid hotels, a spa, a bistrot, a bakery-pastry and a cooking school in Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid. Régis and his wife Michèle took over the family business in 1978; their four children joined the venture. Régis brings more than forty years of kitchen experience; in 2004 his son Jacques joined, creating an alliance of techniques. Jacques et Régis Marcon earned its third Michelin star in 2005 and the gastronomic restaurant was later moved about 400 metres up the hill. The properties sit in a preserved natural setting in a mountain village, offering a blend of family-bistro warmth and refined dining. A relaxed bar, bakery and bistrot in the village contribute to a welcoming local atmosphere. The cuisine is creative and gastronomic, born of the Régis–Jacques collaboration and rooted in regional ingredients and artisan producers. The group emphasises high-level cooking with local sourcing and applies refined techniques in a fine-dining context. A cooking school and dedicated local food outlets underline the family’s commitment to transmitting culinary techniques and showcasing regional produce; Régis Marcon is the chef.
