Host is a bistronomic restaurant that aims to deliver a quality dining experience at a good price. The founders established a venue with a regularly changing programme of dishes, and the restaurant is recognised in the Michelin Guide (Selected) while emphasising accessible bistronomic cooking. Co‑founder Corentin brings experience from starred establishments, wedding receptions and cabarets. Situated in La Rochelle’s Place du Marché Central, Host presents a convivial, cocoon‑like atmosphere where guests are invited to feel at home. The concept prioritises warm hospitality and a friendly vibe suitable for families. The kitchen is guided by a commitment to local sourcing and seasonal produce, working with local producers and artisans with attention to social and environmental issues. Alice (Founder & Chef) trained in Biarritz and Toulouse and spent four years in England working alongside starred chef Robby Jenks. Specialties include a 4‑course tasting menu, a 7‑course tasting menu, a daily lunch menu, vegan and vegetarian options, and locally sourced seasonal dishes.
