La Passion

La Passion restaurant, founded in 2003 by Wolfgang and Helena Kerschbaumer, is located in Vandoies di Sopra at the entrance of Val Pusteria amidst the Alto Adige landscapes. The venue occupies a cozy 16th-century traditional Alpine farmer's stube with only five tables, creating an intimate setting that overlooks a small garden used as an outdoor space in summer. Wolfgang Kerschbaumer serves as the sole chef, preparing all dishes fresh on site. His culinary style combines Mediterranean and Italian classic influences with modern touches, emphasizing light preparations and the use of fresh, seasonal, high-quality regional ingredients. The menu features creative antipasti, exquisite fish dishes, and premium meat preparations that balance bold flavors with subtle elegance. Helena manages an extensive wine cellar with over 250 labels from around the world, expertly pairing wines by the bottle or glass to complement each dish. The restaurant also accommodates small group events of up to 30 people, blending gourmet cuisine with a warm, familial atmosphere valued by its loyal clientele.
