La Petite Maison de Cucuron

La Petite Maison de Cucuron is a Michelin-starred, market-driven restaurant housed in a 19th-century village house on the peaceful Place de l’Étang in Cucuron, in the Luberon. Interiors display waxed woodwork, worn terracotta tiles, tapestries and old engravings; guests choose a shaded trellised terrace beneath plane trees by the basin, a historic upstairs dining room of seven tables, a small private salon or a convivial table d'hôtes. The overall vibe is intimate, elegant and homely, with attention to period details and service that cultivates warm, familial moments rather than formal ritual. The cuisine is classical French rooted in Provençal terroir and seasonal market produce, combining traditional technique with contemporary touches and an emphasis on generosity, clarity of flavors and precise plating. Wine pairings are integral and the cellar holds more than 500 references developed through close ties with regional producers and vignerons. Éric Sapet leads the kitchen; he has directed the house since 2007 after training at La Tour d'Argent, La Maison Prunier, La Marée and with Jacques Cagna and after tenures in Ardèche and the Luberon. He brings decades of experience and longstanding recognition, including a Michelin star maintained since 2009 and former high Gault&Millau scores and industry awards. The house stages occasional themed menus (for example a truffle and morel menu) and seasonal specials such as an Easter offering, and offers a Menu de la Maison, a table d'hôtes communal menu and a pâté en croûte with fresh figs.
