La Prensa

La Prensa is a Michelin one-star restaurant located in Zaragoza, Spain, founded in 1970 by the father of current owner David Pérez. Originally a bulk wine seller, it evolved into a wine bar and small dining room before transforming into a fully-fledged restaurant. In 1985, chef Marisa Barberán joined, introducing a creative cuisine style that balances traditional roots with playful, imaginative touches. The restaurant offers two tasting menus: a Tasting Menu with snacks, six courses, and two desserts for 95 euros, and a Gourmet Menu featuring snacks, eight courses, and three desserts for 130 euros. Marisa Barberán’s cooking emphasizes modern techniques, exceptional quality produce, and a harmonious blend of flavors, aromas, colors, and textures. David Pérez, also the sommelier, curates a cellar of about 400 national and international wines, champagnes, and spirits to complement the dining experience. La Prensa’s two dining rooms provide a refined yet welcoming atmosphere, allowing guests to choose an intimate setting for enjoying creative contemporary cuisine grounded in tradition.
