La Terrasse des Cigales

La Terrasse des Cigales is a traditional Provençal restaurant in Mérindol, recently established in the village by Mathieu and Sébastien. The team emphasises local sourcing, serving beers and apple juices from neighbouring fields and orchards, lamb from the Alpilles and olive oil from the village’s antique mill. Open throughout the year, the restaurant can be privatized for special events and encourages convivial shared meals typical of the region. The house is listed in the Guide Michelin (2025). In summer guests dine on an intimate, shaded terrace delimited by traditional bories stones. Indoors the atmosphere is authentic and warmed by a wood fire in winter; the setting is warm and convivial in the heart of the Luberon. The kitchen offers wood-fired Provençal cuisine, homemade from fresh, local ingredients with frequently renewed, seasonal menus. It also provides vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free options. Specialties include aïoli, bourride de lotte, shoulder of lamb cooked on the wood fire and the Asperge "La Délicate" special menu.
