District Winery

District Winery is a distinctive event venue located in Washington, DC's Yards community along the Anacostia River. Established in 2017, it is the first commercial winery in the city, combining urban sophistication with a unique winery setting. The venue offers sweeping views of the river and cityscape, creating a compelling backdrop for a variety of events.

The 17,000 square foot interior space draws on traditional winery architecture, featuring wood-framed elements, southern yellow pine lumber, walnut paneling, and brass details balanced with concrete and steel. This blend of warm and cool finishes, accented by mid-century modern design, shapes a stylish and inviting atmosphere across multiple levels.

District Winery houses a full-service seasonal American restaurant named Ana, a commercial wine production facility, and a tasting bar offering wine flights and bottles to go. Two temperature-controlled glass wine storage rooms flank the main staircase leading to a mezzanine level that overlooks both the winery and restaurant. The venue provides over 7,500 square feet of private event space, suitable for indoor and outdoor gatherings.

Events hosted here range from weddings and corporate meetings to holiday parties and social celebrations, accommodating from 30 up to 450 guests. The venue includes amenities such as bridal suites, dining tables and chairs, onsite restrooms, street parking, and Wi-Fi. All events benefit from a dedicated event manager and use of custom walnut tables, marble bars, china, glassware, and linens.
