The Space on South Side

The Space on South Side is a creative photo and film studio located in the Old East Dallas neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. Spanning two levels, the venue serves photographers, filmmakers, and creatives seeking a professional, stylish environment with flexible shooting conditions. The urban setting and adaptable spaces make it suitable for a range of productions as well as private events. The Modern Studio, located on the first level, features rolling backdrops, mid-century modern furniture, and dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows that bring in natural light throughout the day. The space transitions from bright light and deep shadows in the early morning to soft, diffused light later in the day, with roller shades available for precise lighting control. It accommodates up to 20 seated or 50 standing guests and is available for individual rental. The Boudoir Studio, situated on the second level, offers a more intimate and stylized setting with white walls, wood floors, exposed brick, a full-sized bed, couch, mirror, and boho design elements. Privacy curtains allow the shooting area to be closed off from the stairwell and entry area. This space accommodates up to 50 standing guests and is also available for individual rental. The Entire Studio option provides access to both levels simultaneously, accommodating up to 40 seated or 100 standing guests. The venue includes two bathrooms and a kitchen with a microwave, mini fridge, and counter space. External catering is welcome, BYO alcohol is permitted, and guests may play their own music subject to a noise restriction after 22:00.
