Agapes, a small bistronomic restaurant in Toulouse’s Saint‑Aubin, is founded and run by Virginie and Arnaud. The restaurant grew from Arnaud’s training at the Lycée hôtelier d’Occitanie and years in brigades of Parisian starred restaurants before he returned south to open the project with Virginie. The team presents a seasonal menu blending simplicity, finesse and gourmandise; dishes reflect the chef’s gastronomic journey and classical technique. The kitchen prioritises fresh ingredients sourced as much as possible from local producers and the wine carte is curated to match the restaurant’s identity. Agapes is referenced in Michelin selection, Gault & Millau and Le Fooding and has received regional mention as a young talent. The approach combines a refined culinary line with convivial, generous dining described on the site as a place for joyful, hearty meals among friends. The restaurant occupies a small, intimist "petit écrin" with a pared‑back (épuré) yet convivial interior; the vibe is warm, bistronomic and attentive with a focus on detail. Agapes serves modern French bistronomic cuisine focused on seasonal produce, simple but refined preparations and flavours that recall the chef’s classical gastronomic training; the menu changes with the seasons and highlights local suppliers.
