El Lopo is a neighborhood bar situated on Polk Street in the Van Ness area of San Francisco, set within a vibrant nightlife district surrounded by bars and restaurants. The interior features wood tables, high stools, exposed brick walls, hanging Edison bulbs, and a long wooden counter lined with shelves of bottles, creating a moody and intimate atmosphere. The venue regularly hosts karaoke nights, trivia evenings, and live musical performances. The Entire Bar is the main bookable space, accommodating up to 65 guests standing or 49 seated. It is well suited for private parties, welcome receptions, corporate gatherings, and casual social events. The space includes an outdoor patio and benefits from natural light. The Semi-Private Area occupies the front section of the bar and is designed for smaller groups of up to 20 standing or 16 seated. It comprises three large high-top tables, two smaller barrel tables, and a few bar seats, making it a flexible option for office happy hours, intimate birthdays, dinner parties, and group get-togethers. This area can be reserved with no booking fee at any time of day with sufficient notice. In-house catering is available at El Lopo, with a Spanish cuisine-inspired menu. Custom menus can be crafted to suit various budgets and dietary requirements, ranging from light snacks and drinks to multi-course dinners. External catering is also permitted. The venue holds an alcohol licence until midnight, with an extension available.
