Le Métro

Le Métro is an Italian gastronomic restaurant in Strépy-Bracquegnies (La Louvière) run by Giuseppe and Rita. The family transformed a tavern taken over in 1982 into the restaurant Le Métro, which Giuseppe and Rita opened in July 2013. Rita leads the kitchen and draws on recipes and savoir‑faire passed down from her mother, with a special emphasis on the chef’s Sicilian roots. The restaurant has been distinguished by the Michelin guide and is listed in Gault&Millau (mentioned for 2026 and earlier). The dining room is warm and convivial, combining tradition and modernity with white‑linen tables, velvet seating and wood accents. The venue projects a familial and welcoming vibe suitable for both intimate meals and business lunches. Cuisine travels from the north to the south of Italy in authentic, traditional preparations made fresh and homemade using seasonal, high‑quality ingredients.
