Le visible est invisible

Le Visible Est Invisible leads guided city walks and excursions across Provence. Its guides focus on the stories and architectural details that give each place its character, with private and tailor-made tours among the available formats. The cities covered include Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, Toulon and La Ciotat. In Avignon, the “Dans les rues d’Avignon” walk explores lesser-noticed features of the city, from traces of Rhône floods and small shrines to Les Halles, the former Jewish quarter and rue des Teinturiers. It also takes in a panorama encompassing Pont Saint-Bénézet, Tour Philippe le Bel and Mont Ventoux before returning towards the Palais des Papes. The guides also offer private visits to the Palais des Papes and Pont d’Avignon. Inside the palace, the tour looks at papal court life and surviving decorative details before reaching the Grande Chapelle. The bridge visit can complement a city walk or a palace tour. Admission to either monument is separate from the guided visit.
