SchwarzGold is a fine‑dining restaurant that marries the industrial heritage of the Ruhr with contemporary culinary ambition. The kitchen celebrates the rooted, earthy spirit of Ruhrpott cooking while intentionally weaving in international influences introduced by migrants from Turkey, Italy and Poland. The venue doubles as an event location and cultivates relaxed yet precise hospitality where tradition, diversity and modernity meet on the plate and in the glass. Housed in the former deep‑freeze and gas facility of Kokerei Hansa in Dortmund, the dining room evokes industrial‑chic with no direct daylight and a piano/pianopodest plus a bar area for aperitifs. A separate bar space offers a more casual, sociable atmosphere while seating in the dining room is arranged for an intimate experience. Head Chef Pierre Beckerling drives a menu‑led concept with meticulous attention to technique and presentation. Beckerling, described as a true Ruhrpott child, received a Michelin star in 2025, his third Michelin recognition.
