Shanahan's Barn in Charlevoix, Michigan, offers a distinctive event space that blends rustic charm with elegant design. Established in 2014, this venue is housed in a restored turn-of-the-century barn originally linked to local cattle farmers, reflecting a rich historical connection. The barn's architecture features vaulted cathedral trusses crafted with wooden dowels, and antique wagon wheel chandeliers that enhance its romantic and shabby chic ambiance.

Set on the 16th hole of the Charlevoix Golf and Fitness Championship Golf Course, the barn is surrounded by varied landscapes including forest, meadow, creek, and manicured golf greens. A wooden bridge crossing a meandering creek adds to the pastoral setting, providing numerous scenic photo opportunities. The venue encompasses over 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, including a barn loft with bistro lights and an expansive lighted patio suited for cocktails and outdoor games.

The interior features an open floor plan with two main areas: a large 7,000+ square foot space and a 2,500+ square foot elevated area accessed by dual grand staircases with rustic wood flooring. These spaces can accommodate a wide range of event layouts, from ceremonies and dining to dancing and auctions. Additional amenities include a bridal suite, onsite restrooms, and ample parking. The venue allows clients to select their own caterer while providing alcohol services exclusively through the venue.
