Steven and Ami Ellis lead the house; its philosophy is to showcase the very best produce from the local natural larder and Gamekeeper of Windsor Great Park provides exclusive access to seasonal ingredients. It sits between traditional pub hospitality and refined modern British cooking and is recognised (Michelin: Selected). A small country pub features a terrace overlooking ancient deciduous woodland at park’s edge. Venue offers a cosy pub bar, terrace seating and an upper dining room for restaurant service. The vibe blends relaxed countryside comfort with a gastronomic focus. Steven Ellis’s particular love of game and his training under Andrew Pern (Star Inn, Harome) and Clare Smyth MBE (Restaurant Gordon Ramsay) inform a sophisticated twist on familiar dishes. The kitchen delivers modern British cooking from a seasonally evolving menu that emphasises local produce, game and seafood supplied by a network of local fishermen, butchers and gamekeepers. Specialties include seasonal game dishes, locally sourced produce, seasonal à la carte and Sunday menus, a curated wine list and bar and terrace seasonal offerings.
