The Dixie Gin

The Dixie Gin is a distinctive event venue located on three acres amidst the farmland of the Red River bottoms in Dixie, Louisiana. Originally built as a cotton gin in 1933, the property carries a rich history, with certain structures dating back over a century. After years of abandonment, the building was revitalized in 2008, blending rustic industrial elements with elegant and romantic design features.

The venue’s style is an eclectic mix of bohemian, rustic, and industrial aesthetics, highlighted by vintage Southern charm. Inside, a striking 7ft by 7ft chandelier welcomes guests, complemented by large bulb string lights that create an inviting atmosphere. Outdoor spaces include a covered ceremony area furnished with antique church pews and a smaller chandelier, offering a unique setting for events.

Views from the venue encompass farm fields, meadows, a courtyard, and nearby historical monuments, providing a natural and serene backdrop.
