The Principle: Forget classic city rallies – we’ve reinvented the genre. At Urban Challenger, there are no dusty riddles or overcomplicated codes. Instead, we blend authentic team spirit with a true sense of discovery. Competing in teams, you will choose from a pool of over 30 different challenges, aiming to complete as many as possible. These tasks are designed to forge stronger bonds, spark your creativity, and get you interacting directly with the romantic city on the Neckar and its local inhabitants.

Everything is managed via our intuitive app, but the real game-changer is the human touch: A Live Game Host accompanies you (via WhatsApp or on-site), reviews your photo and video submissions in real-time, and provides that extra boost of motivation.

How your event works:

1. Custom Start Point: We start wherever it suits you best – whether at your office, your hotel, or a central landmark like University Square or the Old Bridge.
2. Ready, Set, Go!: You meet your Game Host for a briefing. After logging into the app, the adventure begins instantly.
3. Conquer Challenges: Complete as many tasks as you can within the time limit and upload your photo and video proof directly to the app.
4. Real-Time Feedback: Your Game Host moderates the game in real-time, reviews your submissions, and serves as your dedicated point of contact.
5. The Grand Finale: Once time is up, the team with the most points takes home the winner's prizes.
6. Flexible Schedule: The standard duration is 2.5 hours, but we are happy to customize the timing (from a quick 90-minute blast to an extensive half-day event).

A Mix That Connects – The Challenge Categories: No need to choose in advance! All teams have access to the full variety of challenges. You decide spontaneously during the game which tasks to tackle. Our categories ensure every team member can contribute their unique strengths:

• Explorer: Discover the winding alleys of the Old Town, hidden university courtyards, and the best vantage points overlooking the Neckar.
• Artist: Get creative and use the world-famous Castle backdrop or the Old Bridge as a stage for your team.
• Foodie: Taste Heidelberg on the go – sample small local specialties like the "Studentenkuß" or discover sweet secrets in the narrow streets.
• Connector: Get to know each other better as a team and get in touch with the locals! Whether it's a quick chat with Heidelberg students or a shared encounter with the city's international flair.
• History: Dive into the history of Germany's oldest university and the legacy of the Romantics in a playful, interactive way.
• Nature: Find the green side of Heidelberg right along the banks of the Neckar or on the hills surrounding the Old Town.
