Willis Show Bar

Willis Show Bar is located in Detroit’s Historic Cass Corridor, a neighborhood known for its rich cultural and musical heritage. Established in 1949, the venue originally thrived as a jazz club until its closure in 1978. It has since been revived, maintaining its original Art Moderne style that reflects the elegance and charm of the mid-20th century.

The interior features a unique floorplan with a 55-foot-long bar that spans the main room, providing comfortable seating for guests. Romantic banquette seating faces the main stage, while plush upholstered booths on an upper tier accommodate larger groups. The venue’s curved corner facade is preserved with two-toned oxblood and rose-colored tiles, chrome accents, and heavy metal front doors, contributing to its distinctive Art Deco character.

Willis Show Bar is primarily a live entertainment venue and classic cocktail bar. The main stage, located behind the bar, hosts live music, cabaret performers, DJs, and comedians. The venue focuses on entertainment and offers a curated selection of wines, beers, and spirits, especially whiskey-based cocktails such as the French 75, rye-based Sazerac, and Bee’s Knees. While no food is served on-site, outside caterers are welcome for events, allowing flexibility in dining options.
