The Central Heating is a reception hall located in the largest industrial monument of Erfurt, a former power plant from the 19th century, situated near the Theaterplatz and behind the cathedral. The venue combines historic industrial architecture with modern event technology, offering an industrial and historically appealing atmosphere with exposed brickwork and original features. It has a variety of modular event spaces with capacities ranging from small meeting rooms to large halls. The main event areas are the Kesselsaal, the Maschinenhalle, and the Kohlenbunker, with the Kesselsaal accommodating up to 500 guests in theater style and 1000 for cocktail receptions. Further rooms include the Werkraumstudio, the Kreativwerkstatt, the Salon Steinmeier, and the Künstlercontainer, which support smaller groups and breakout sessions. The venue offers event services such as catering with fully equipped kitchens and bars, as well as audiovisual technology. It is located in the Brühlviertel, is accessible, and is suitable for presentations, congresses, conferences, exhibitions, and cultural events.
