Clissold Arms

Clissold Arms is a pub and event venue with a notable place in music history, serving as the location of The Kinks' first ever public performance. The venue offers several distinct bookable spaces across indoor and outdoor areas, suitable for a range of events including weddings, birthdays, and private gatherings. The Kinks Room accommodates up to 70 guests standing and is decorated with Kinks memorabilia throughout, creating a warm and characterful setting for events closely tied to the venue's musical heritage. The Terrace is an elegant space finished in neutral tones, with a seated capacity of 80 guests and standing capacity of 100. It is licensed for music, whether a DJ, live band, or personal playlist connected to the in-house PA system. The room has direct access to the Patio Garden, where an additional outdoor area can be reserved to complement the indoor space. The Shed serves as a private dining room with an intimate atmosphere, accommodating up to 20 guests seated or 30 standing. Like the Terrace, it offers direct access to the Patio Garden, allowing guests to move between indoor and outdoor spaces during an event. The Wedding, Birthdays & More package accommodates up to 130 guests and is suited to larger celebrations within the pub's historic setting. The Whole Venue option, available Monday through Friday, accommodates up to 300 guests standing and allows full use of the site for large-scale events.
