Jardin des Sens

Le Jardin des Sens is the gastronomic restaurant housed within Hôtel Richer de Belleval in Montpellier, created by Jacques & Laurent Pourcel in partnership with Olivier Château and the GGL-HELENIS group. The founders seek to create a destination to reinforce Montpellier's culinary standing alongside Bordeaux and Lyon and to act as an economic and cultural locomotive in the old town. The venue is listed as a selected address by Michelin. The house maintains a casual dress code (men: long trousers and closed shoes) and does not accept checks. The dining rooms occupy classified historic spaces adorned with remarkable original 17th-century frescoes and 17th-century decoration across three vaulted salons, producing a transporting, elegant and reassuring atmosphere that blends tradition and contemporary gastronomy. The Pourcel brothers and their team stage modern, inventive gastronomic cuisine with a strong emphasis on the codes of high gastronomy and refined sommellerie. The kitchen delivers modern French gastronomic cooking through inventive tasting and set menus at lunch and dinner, with an emphasis on haute‑gastronomy techniques and a strong sommellerie offering; both à la carte choices and multi‑course signature tasting experiences are available at service.
