Le Vieux tonneau

Le Vieux Tonneau is a wine and tapas bar in Aix-en-Provence’s old town, behind the Palais de Justice. Open since 2010, it combines a terrace on a small square with an intimate interior featuring stone vaults, leather seating and chandeliers. Music is selected to complement the evening without drowning out conversation. Its menu offers homemade tapas and sharing boards made with local and regional products. French wines are served by the glass or bottle, with selections from regions including Provence, the Rhône Valley and Burgundy. The bar welcomes aperitifs and after-work gatherings as well as group evenings, with full or partial private hire available. It also organises tastings and food-and-wine pairings.
