Sportinnovatiecampus

Sportinnovatiecampus in Brugge is a testing ground for fresh approaches to sport and movement. Based on the Sport Vlaanderen grounds and powered by Howest and Sport Vlaanderen, it explores new ideas, tests them in practice and shares what it learns with the wider sports community. The campus offers inspiration visits, professional training and workshops on innovative sports topics. Its SportsCube for Active Gaming brings video-game elements into physical activity, with an interactive LED floor, rowing games and virtual-reality sailing among the experiences described. The campus also presents active gaming as an option for team building. Beyond the site, its Sportinnovatiemobiel trailer introduces people across Flanders to new sport and movement trends. Professional events and hands-on sessions form part of the campus programme, with themes ranging from new movement formats to gamification. It is a setting for groups interested in trying sport innovation for themselves.
