Licandro - Le Bistro

Licandro - Le Bistro is a centrally located bistro in Aix-en-Provence. The bistro has been recognized in the press (Capital, Paris Match, La Croix, Via magazine, Terre de Provence) and is listed in the Michelin Guide for traditional cuisine. Occupying two levels — a ground-floor dining room and a vaulted cellar — the setting creates a warm, intimate bistro vibe and emphasizes a cozy, welcoming ambiance. The kitchen revisits traditional French bistro cuisine with a delicate presentation and a Provençal accent. Menus are updated regularly according to market availability and are built from fresh, seasonal market products. Felipe Licandro trained at the Centre Supérieur d’Hostellerie de Galice in Spain and held formative positions at the Marriott Champs-Élysées, SYDR (Maison Alain Dutournier), Le Céladon (Hôtel Westminster) and L'Espérance of Marc Meneau. He has managed large brigades, overseen supplier relations and previously led the kitchen at Tanao Ando at Château Lacoste. Specialties include marinated sesame salmon with beets and horseradish; mallard cooked two ways with chocolate sauce; and praline brioche with almonds and hazelnuts.
