The partner's word
Aulis London reopened in spring 2023 with a refreshed look and additional seating. It was awarded its first Michelin Star in the 2024 UK & Northern Ireland Michelin Guide and the operation sells vouchers and specialist wine‑pairing experiences while emphasising close provenance.
An intimate, twelve‑cover chef’s table hidden on St Anne’s Court in Soho, Aulis features a convivial lounge for pre‑dinner drinks and a space designed to be relaxed and conversational. The dining format is deliberately exclusive to ignite culinary discussion and the overall experience is interactive.
The menu reflects Simon Rogan’s signature farm‑to‑fork ethos, with ingredients predominantly sourced from his Lake District farm, Our Farm. Aulis serves a creative, contemporary British multi‑course tasting menu that emphasises seasonal British ingredients and features experiential table‑side cooking, with a series of dishes prepared and explained at every stage; optional curated wine and drink pairings complement the progression.
The kitchen is led by executive chef Oli Marlow and head chef Charlie Tayler.
Specialities include Orkney scallops with pineapple weed jelly, Herdwick lamb from Cumbria, raw Belted Galloway beef in coal oil and seaweed custard with beef tendons.
