Lixin Teochew Fishball Noodles, established in 1968 by Lim Lee Seng, started as a humble pushcart before expanding to multiple outlets across Singapore, including air-conditioned food courts and standalone shops. The founder personally sourced fresh yellowtail fish from Jurong fishery port and handcrafted fishballs through a detailed process of filleting, mincing, kneading, and molding by hand. This dedication to freshness and quality remains central to the brand's philosophy. The business grew further when Lim’s son, Eddie, opened an outlet at ION Orchard's Food Opera in 2009, boosting its popularity. Lixin is known for its distinctive bouncy fish dumpling skin and fishballs made with pure fish content, earning a Bib Gourmand distinction and local awards. The menu offers a range of Teochew-style fishball noodle dishes, including fishball, fish dumpling, fish cake, and noodle variations, all celebrated for preserving the original recipe and quality that established Lixin as a favorite street food destination in Singapore.
