Virtue And Vice Studios is a professional music recording and rehearsal facility located in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. The studio is designed for serious musicians and recording artists working in analog, digital, or hybrid tape-and-digital setups within an acoustically treated, soundproofed environment. The Studio is a large live room with a 14-foot ceiling, suited for rehearsals, recording sessions, and live tracking. It accommodates up to 20 people standing and is built around a Vintage Neve 8026 console loaded with 24 1084 modules and 2 2254 compressors. The instrument inventory includes a Yamaha C3 grand piano, a Hammond C3 organ with Leslie cab, an original 1970s Mellotron 400, a 4-octave Jenco Celeste, an Optigan, a variety of guitars, and tube amplifiers. Equipment from manufacturers including Neve, Neumann, Studer, Retro, AKG, Audio Technica, dbx, Calrec, Universal Audio, API, Empirical Labs, RCA, Drawmer, Otari, Octava, Shure, and Scully is available for client use. The studio operates seven days a week from 9:00 AM to midnight, with a minimum booking duration of 4 hours.
