Cafe Alma is a gourmet food hub and community gathering space situated in San Francisco's India Basin and Bayview neighborhood. Housed in a 5,000 sq. ft. warehouse on the shoreline of India Basin, the venue features high ceilings, globe pendant lighting, open shelving, and potted plants, creating a warm cafe aesthetic with a community-driven spirit. The venue takes its name from the scow schooner built at the site in 1891, now a National Monument at the Maritime Museum of San Francisco. Cafe Alma was established to serve the India Basin and Bayview community with health-conscious gourmet food while acting as an incubator for local small businesses. It is designed as a space to relax, work, experience live music and workshops, and engage with the community. The Entire Venue accommodates up to 63 seated guests in a dining configuration or up to 100 guests for standing events. The space is well-suited for private dinners, community gatherings, live music events, and workshops. In-house catering is available featuring American cuisine. A per-person package is offered at $75, which includes dinner and two alcoholic beverages. The venue holds an alcohol licence valid until 9:00 pm. No external catering or BYO alcohol is permitted. A minimum spend of $1,500 per session applies.
