Grand Hall Zollverein

The venue is located on the grounds of the Zollverein Coal Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia. It utilizes the former suction and compressor hall and preserves elements of industrial heritage while providing a modern and barrier-free environment. The event space covers over 4,000 m² and offers a modular and flexible room concept suitable for a variety of business events, including conferences, workshops, seminars, congresses, trade fairs, galas, roadshows, and club events. The venue combines industrial charm with modern amenities such as naturally lit rooms, air conditioning, and underfloor heating. It provides comprehensive event services, including full-service event management, design concepts, furniture, technology, and catering support. The venue is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and offers professional assistance to ensure seamless execution of events. Several event rooms are available, including a large banquet hall with a capacity of up to 2,500 guests for cocktail events and 1,800 for theater seating, as well as several smaller rooms and foyers with capacities ranging from 145 to 450 guests. Catering is provided by selected partners or through a fully equipped kitchen on-site. Additional amenities include parking, Wi-Fi, terrace access, and charging stations for electric vehicles.
