Restaurant Johanna Berger in Lübeck is run by owner-chef Johanna Berger since 2015; the kitchen follows a "colorful culinary bouquet" philosophy that balances inventive and traditional dishes and changes its menus regularly. Cuisine blends international and Mediterranean influences with seasonal produce and modern reinterpretations of homeland dishes; the kitchen offers à la carte choices, emphasizes fresh preparation and accommodates vegetarian, vegan and allergy requirements on request. Johanna Berger (Owner & Head Chef) trained as a cook and worked in southern France, London, the North Sea and in Lübeck, and since May 2024 is supported by kitchen chef Jamel Jerome Poerschke, who brings starred-gastronomy experience and a focus on reinterpreting regional cuisine. Specialties include a surprise tasting menu in 3, 4, 5 or 7 courses, saffron risotto, beef fillet (Rinderfilet), catch of the day and Plettenpudding, with an extensive wine list and dedicated pairing options for the tasting menus.
