La Mayzou

La Mayzou is a family restaurant located in the heart of Cap-Ferret, a village on the Arcachon Basin. The name Mayzou means "home" in Gascon, reflecting the restaurant’s goal of creating a welcoming environment where customers feel at home. The dishes offered in the kitchen evolve each day, influenced by the seasons, the day's catches, local harvests, and the chef's inspiration. The restaurant prioritizes a close collaboration with local producers to ensure that the ingredients are seasonal, fresh, and as local as possible. The oysters come from La Kabane, the clams are sourced from the village of L’Herbe or caught by Lucie, the fish is supplied by the preferred fishermen Paul & Paul and Éole, the poultry is raised in the Landes by the Poulet brothers, and the grass-fed beef is provided by Maximin. Chef Juliette draws inspiration from her travels to infuse the menu with flavors from around the world while maintaining a friendly and rooted atmosphere.
