Formerly a Gothic church built in 1906, this site has been a hub for the Black community and the South Philadelphia neighborhood, once known as Moyamensing, for over 110 years. Iconic figures such as Booker T. Washington, Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., and Thurgood Marshall have been welcomed here. Our goal is to uphold the tradition of this space as a place for celebration, gathering, and education where everyone is welcome and feels at home. Reimagined in 2019, this unique event space offers a carefully curated experience, suitable for a variety of occasions, meetings, and creative projects.
