The Midland Theatre

The Midland Theatre, located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, is a historic event venue that combines classic elegance with sophisticated modern amenities. Built in 1927 by Marcus Loew, it was once the third largest theater in the United States. The design reflects French and Italian Baroque styles, featuring over 500,000 feet of gold leaf, five giant hand-cut crystal chandeliers, and intricate wood and plasterwork. A room made entirely of Tiffany glass tiles adds to its distinctive architectural charm.

The theater offers a grand indoor event space with a customizable tiered main floor suitable for a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings. The venue can accommodate cocktail receptions for up to 1,500 guests and seated dinners for up to 640. Its in-house professional production team supports high-quality sound, lighting, and video, making it well equipped for impactful presentations and performances.

Additional event spaces include the Chandelier Bar on the top floor, which overlooks the balcony and showcases intimate views of the original architecture and chandeliers.
