Osteria Ophis is situated in Offida, a medieval village in the Piceno hills. Since 2000, it has married authenticity with innovation, focusing on high traditional cuisine inspired by the Marche region. The menu changes every two months to highlight seasonal products, including prized local truffles. Chef Daniele Citeroni Maurizi, a native of Offida, personally sources top-quality ingredients such as legumes, vegetables, free-range poultry, certified meats, and ancient grains for homemade pasta and bread. The restaurant occupies the former stables of Palazzo Alessandrini, where vaulted ceilings and brick arches reflect four centuries of history. Rustic medieval architecture blends with modern comfort in a welcoming atmosphere. A small window allows guests to glimpse the kitchen, enhancing the dining intimacy. Osteria Ophis embraces Slow Food values and the Mediterranean diet through its use of Presidia products and seasonal, locally sourced items. Its wine cellar, housed in a historic vaulted cellar, offers an extensive selection of regional and Italian wines.
