The restaurant maintains an extensive wine cellar and a strong wine programme, stages special events and curated menus—brunches, seasonal buffets and themed dinners with curated pairings—and often features live-cooking stations. Located centrally near Bremen’s historic sights, Alto pairs its culinary offering with a polished service style and the resources of the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel, and suits both intimate dinners and larger private functions. The dining room offers a stylish, brasserie-like ambience with a courtyard garden (Hofgarten), a cosy winter garden and multiple private dining areas, creating a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The kitchen presents a refined German–French brasserie concept that emphasises high-quality ingredients and creative craftsmanship; dishes are market-driven and seasonal, combine classical Franco-German techniques with contemporary market-cuisine sensibilities, and are presented with contemporary technique and attention to balance while highlighting regional produce through individualised, regionally focused plates as part of a commitment to sustainable, locally rooted cooking. Head Chef Janes Gerdes leads the kitchen. Specialties include Supreme of Klangens Weidegockel, Tuna Tataki, Venison loin (Hirschrücken), a four-course tasting menu and a Champagne-by-the-glass selection, including rare Champagnes, served via Coravin Sparkling.
