Anne de Bretagne

Anne de Bretagne is a Relais & Châteaux house on the Atlantic coast combining a four‑star hotel with a two‑Michelin‑star restaurant. The restaurant offers structured tasting menus as well as à la carte choices. Founded by Michèle and Philippe Vételé in 1978, the house earned its first Michelin star in 2002 and a second in 2010; the team emphasises carefully selected local producers and a wine programme curated by chef sommelier Steve Gellot, with a cellar of some 2,500 references and a nationally recognised list. The dining room is light‑filled with large bay windows that open onto the sea and offer changing coastal views. The house is contemporary and serene with relaxed salons, a library, garden and pool; rooms and suites are calm, minimalist and bright with balconies facing the ocean or the park. Cuisine is creative and iodine‑driven, giving pride of place to Atlantic seafood while showcasing local terroir in inventive multi‑course tasting experiences. Pastry and chocolate work are a highlighted component, led by an award‑winning pastry chef. Mathieu Guibert is chef and proprietor. Specialties include Alchimie (4–5 courses), Quintessence (7 courses), seafood‑led dishes drawing on Atlantic produce, and desserts by Jérémie Bousseau featuring Valrhona chocolate creations.
