Down Hall in Hertfordshire is one of England’s most established country house hotels. Located 15 minutes from Stansted Airport in Essex and 45 minutes from London, we are easily accessible for your delegates, whilst the privacy of the surrounding woodlands gives your meeting or event the ‘away-from-the-office’ feeling it requires.
Each of the four meeting rooms within the Mansion House offer delegates high ceilings and plenty of natural light. Each room includes modern audio visual equipment, comfortable seating, executive boardroom options and original characteristics such as open fireplaces and decorative Edwardian style doorways.
Spring 2019 marked the re-launch of the completely rejuvenated event space in the West Wing of Down Hall. With a newly created private entrance, the new space is suitable for up to 200 delegates and offers the choice of 8 function rooms, a private lounge & bar, along with a landscaped garden, all within an exclusive self-contained area of the hotel.
Our Main House function space is perfect for formal private dinners, and corporate events that are looking for a space with a sense of history and grandeur, however still features all of the modern touches expected, and it also benefits from being adjacent to our stunning hotel lounge.
