Le Palais Gallien Hôtel & Spa

In the dynamic city of Bordeaux, in the heart of the city centre, stands the estate, a building steeped in history and charm. In the 19th century, Monsieur Barbe called upon the Swiss architect Camille Martin for the design of this private residence. The original building, erected in 1895, proudly sits on what was then called Rue Saint-Sernin, later renamed in honour of Abbé Charles-Michel de l’Épée, a pioneer of specialised education for the deaf.

Initially a private residence for notable families from Bordeaux until 1968, the estate then transformed into a place of care and wellbeing. Under the impetus of a renowned doctor, a new fitness space was built in the garden. This transformation respected the historical architecture of the place while bringing a welcome modernity to the whole.

Today, the estate is a 5-star hotel with a unique charm. Renamed in reference to the Gallo-Roman history of the neighbourhood, it offers a luxurious experience to its visitors. The hotel features air-conditioned rooms equipped with a seating area, a flat-screen satellite TV, a safe, and a private bathroom. Guests can also enjoy a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a bar, and a restaurant serving French cuisine, along with many other services.
