Schloss Monaise occupies an 18th‑century summer residence just meters from the Mosel river. The house was restored in 1997 to its original Louis‑Seize colour scheme and classical character and presents itself as a classicist jewel. The restaurant operates an à la carte service and has been recognised as SELECTED by the Michelin Guide, underlining its standing for classic French cooking in Trier. Dining rooms on the Beletage feature high ceilings and ornate stucco in Louis‑Seize style, offering a stately, nostalgic atmosphere. Those Beletage rooms have long been used for elegant celebrations such as weddings. A popular summer terrace by the Mosel provides an open‑air option in fine weather. The kitchen serves French‑classical dishes with Mediterranean and regional influences. It places the product at the centre of each dish, sourcing ingredients from the surrounding region and from neighbouring Luxembourg and France. The team deliberately avoids ornamental plate decorations, favouring straightforward presentations that highlight quality ingredients.
