The Lytle Auditorium

The Lytle Auditorium is an event venue located in Downers Grove, Illinois, housed in a building with an industrial aesthetic, generous ceiling heights, and an abundance of natural light. The venue contains two private studio spaces that can be rented individually on weekdays or together as a full building buyout on weekends, making it suitable for a range of events from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations including weddings. The West Studio features 16 ft ceilings, a 50 ft industrial catwalk, and dark green painted walls. Large windows bring in natural daylight, creating a dramatic yet warm atmosphere. The space includes a dance floor and is soundproofed. It can accommodate up to 96 guests in seated, theatre, classroom, or standing configurations, and is well-suited for wedding receptions, photo shoots, and private celebrations. The East Studio, known as the Greenhouse, is a bright and airy space featuring a 40-foot skylight, live plants, hanging greenery, and a real ivy wall. It accommodates up to 96 guests in a theatre-style arrangement, up to 40 guests for seated dining, or up to 35 guests for smaller gatherings such as baby showers, bridal showers, workshops, and birthday celebrations. The space also includes a dance floor and is soundproofed. Both studios are available as a full building buyout on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The venue holds an alcohol licence and a wedding licence, and welcomes external caterers. A personal event manager is available to assist with planning and bookings.
