The concept pairs product-first cooking with a carefully curated wine list drawn from winemakers the team values, prioritizing hospitality, good glassware and service with heart over gimmicks. The kitchen serves comfort food and regional classics with contemporary lightness and clear, pure execution. Hosts Philipp Marko — trained at the Sattlerhof and with leading sommeliers, returned as a passionate host and wine specialist — and Lukas Fürk — who completed chef training including a Küchenmeister qualification and formative stages with Gerhard Bauböck, Andreas Döllerer and others — bring complementary expertise to a precise, modern culinary line. The team emphasizes regional quality and wines with character and depth, aims to evoke memories and a sense of home, and is recognised in the Michelin Guide (SELECTED) for its Austrian cuisine and for combining authentic guest experience with high-quality local produce and wines. The space presents a welcoming, feel-good environment with simple, unpretentious design, attentive service and a focus on comfort; cosy dining areas and convivial seating encourage lingering over wine and conversation. Specialties include confit salmon trout with pumpkin, quinoa and camelina; hearty beef soup with Kaspressknödel and chives; homemade Grammelknödel with paprikated Welschriesling cabbage; Dukatenbuchteln with spiced plums and vanilla sauce; Tafelspitz aspic with mountain lentils and radish-herb vinaigrette; and braised veal shoulder with nut-butter purée and winter vegetables.
