The partner's word

Antica Osteria del Mirasole, founded in 1989 by chef Franco Cimini, evokes a rustic wartime osteria with its warm ambiance enriched by period paintings, antique tools, and a stone fireplace where Franco grills meats over wood embers. The dining area features two intimate rooms, complemented by an upstairs inn reached via a 16th-century spiral staircase. The menu highlights authentic Emilian cuisine, emphasizing simplicity and quality. Signature dishes include Tortellini alla Panna d’Affioramento, honoring a family heritage in cheese making, and Ragù di Cortile. Fresh local ingredients come directly from the restaurant’s Parmigiano Reggiano dairy, Caseificio Sant'Angelo, and trusted nearby farms, reflecting a short supply chain philosophy. Additional specialties include Tortelli Fior di Ricotta, Lasagne verdi all’ortica, and Culatello di nera Parmigiana. Franco Cimini’s approach balances tradition and purity of flavor, attaining distinction with a listing in the Michelin Guide. The adjacent Locanda Mirasole provides historic accommodations, while the Online Bottega offers guests the chance to purchase celebrated house-made products.
